The PNGA congratulates the following young men and women
who are currently enrolled at the University of Oregon, Oregon State
University, University of Washington and Washington State University
as Evans Scholars. These individuals have caddied for at least two
years, rank in the top 25 percent of their graduating high school class,
have financial need and exemplify strong personal character. Each
is awarded with a scholarship for housing and full tuition to a four-year
university in the Northwest.
The largest privately funded scholarship program in the United
States, the Evans Scholarship is administered nationally by the
Western Golf Association and locally by the PNGA, OGA and WSGA.
Currently, more than 800 golf caddies are attending college throughout the
United States as Evans Scholars, and more than 7,000 have graduated
since Charles "Chick" Evans Jr. founded the program in
1930.
