• PNGA Announces Player of the Year Recipients for 2011
  
  The Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) has announced the 2011 Player of the Year recipients. The winners include Chris Williams of Moscow, Idaho in the Men’s category; Erynne Lee of Silverdale, Wash. received the Women’s award; Tom Brandes of Bellevue, Wash. received the Senior Men’s award; Terri Frohnmayer of Salem, Ore. received the Senior Women’s award; Kevin Kwon of Pitt Meadows, BC received the Junior Boys’ award; and Jisoo Keel of Coquitlam, BC received the Junior Girls’ award.

• The Amateurs Beat the Professionals for the First Time in Over 33 Years
  
  The 63rd edition of the Hudson Cup Matches concluded Friday, October 21st at Oswego Lake CC in Lake Oswego, OR. The amateur team beat the professionals 10 ½ points to 9 ½ to claim their first victory since 1978. In the 20th edition of the Senior Hudson Cup, the professionals earned a narrow victory against the amateurs with a two day point total of 10 ½ to 9 ½. The Charles Congdon Award went to Bill Winter and the Larry Lamberger Award was presented to Corey Prugh. In the Senior Matches, The Bill Eggers Award was presented to Kent Brown while Steve Prugh was bestowed the Bob McKendrick Award.
